Day 1 - Negombo
Arrival in Sri Lanka and our representative will receive you at Colombo International Airport. You will be then transferred to Negombo, beach town situated just within 20 minutes of the airport. Rest of the day is for you to rest and relax before the big Sri Lankan adventure tour to start next day. In the evening you could take a leisurely stroll in the beachside road just outside your hotel for a beer or two complimented with a great seafood dinner.

Day 2 - Habarana
Enjoy a buffet breakfast and our chauffer will drive you to Habarana, 4 hours drive approximately and you will be staying this night at an eco and nature lodge closer to Sigiriya Rock Fortress. In the afternoon, in time for sunset, climb the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya Rock Fortress referred by locals as the Eighth Wonder of the World this ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archaeological significance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is perhaps the most visited tourist attraction of Sri Lanka. The fortress complex includes miscellany of a ruined palace, surrounded by a widespread network of fortifications, enormous gardens, ponds, canals and fountains. Since 3th century BC the rocky plateau of Sigiriya served as a monastery. In the second half of the 5th century king Kasyapa decided to construct a royal residence here.
The construction of such a monument on a massive rock approximately 200 meters higher from the surrounding landscape required superior architectural and engineering skill. The gardens of Sigiriya are among the oldest landscaped gardens in the world. Sigiriya has water gardens, cave and boulder gardens, and also terraced gardens which are located in the western part of the rock and are with a complex hydraulic system, which consists of canals, lakes, dams, bridges and fountains.

Day 3 & 4 - Knuckles
After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to Kandy where our specialist trekking guide awaits you for a two day of trekking adventure in the Knuckles mountains. This is an ideal adventure for you to explore a cloud forest and also to interact with villagers. You will be trekking through home spice gardens, vegetable fields, rice fields, tea plantation, pigmy forests and plateaus. The trek is approximately about 8 kms one way and its 16 kms in total. At the end of the trail you would be able to swim at a base of a nice waterfall. You are expected to encounter with species such as Deer, Barking deer, Deer monkey and various types of Lizards. In this trek you will be climbing from 1200 ft to 1850 ft. On the way back you will be able to do some bird watching.
On day two in Knuckles Mountains, after breakfast you will be trekking through tea plantation, pine forest, a typical Kandyan village and rice fields. This is a circular trek which is approximately about 18 kms. Village culture and bird watching are some of the highlights of this trip. You will be staying in a simple tented accommodation in the mountains and also in by the river bank in a rural countryside.

Day 5 & 6 - Kandy
On day three in the Knuckles Mountains, do an early morning bird watching and witness the spectacular sunrise while riding a traditional catamaran (canoe) and come back to the camp for breakfast. Then you will be driven for a one-hour drive to the place where we start a 4km trek to a waterfall. After a swim in the waterfall base enjoy a typical Sri Lankan village lunch and then transfer back to Kandy for another exciting adventure await to begin during your adventure holiday in Sri Lanka.
Your host at the Home Stay in Kandy will treat you to a popular Sri Lankan street food treat ‘kottu roti’. Watch this spicy dish being prepared using various vegetables, meat, eggs and cut up roti. Enjoy the spicy ‘kottu roti’ for dinner.
On day two at the Home Stay in Kandy, visit a typical market in Kandy with the lady host of the home stay to pick and choose your own vegetables to be cooked for lunch. Cut and chop vegetables, grating coconuts and adding of various spices to the dishes are the things that you will be doing with your host. Enjoy your home cooked meal with the local family. Late afternoon set out on a cultural walk with the objective of meeting village people, visiting their humble homes, chatting with them and to see what they do for a living. Most families engage in small cottage industries such as making of incense sticks, weaving of reed baskets and mats, making of traditional sweet meats and home gardening. The walk will end after having a cup of tea served at one of the village homes. Visit a local boutique for Sri Lankan specialty dinner of Hoppers. You will be staying at a homestay with a local family for two nights. This part of your adventure trip, is a very experiential journey to understand the local way of life during your adventure tour in Sri Lanka.

Day 7 - Nuwara Eliya
After a hearty home cooked breakfast at the home stay, you will be transferred to Nuwara Eliya, the capitol of Ceylon Tea. On your way, experience an adventurous white-water rafting expedition in Kitulgala followed by a rice and curry lunch. 5 major rapids and 4 minor rapids are covered on this adventure. The distance covered is around 5 Km. The river and the surrounding will make you enchanted, with a memorable experience during your adventure tour in Sri Lanka. In Nuwara Eliya, you will be staying at a small colonial hotel.

Day 8 - Ohiya
After an early breakfast you will be transferred to Horton Plains National Park where our specialist trekking guide awaits you, 1 ½ hours drive approximately to begin the hike to Kirigalpoththa mountain peak, this is the 2nd highest mountain in Sri Lanka with a peak elevation of 2388 meters above sea level. This is also the highest point in the Horton plains national park and also the highest peak accessible to the public. The trail is approximately 14 kms in total. A single and slightly overgrown path snakes through grassy plains, cloud forest and finally steep rock surfaces. You will have the opportunity to spot some endemic birds and also Sambur Deers. You will be staying at simple lodge in Ohiya in a very remote yet scenic location.

Day 9 & 10 - Koslanda
After breakfast, start trekking towards Bambarakanda Waterfall through sleepy Tea estate villages where you will be able to interact with the villagers who will greet you with a smile. You will pass through an area called 'Devil's staircase' a very narrow with three hair pin bends and at the end of this the tea estate and scenery become more fascinating. At this point you will descend to a waterfall called 'Lanka falls' where you will be able to swim at the natural pool at the base of the waterfall. Picnic lunch will be served. We continue our journey further down where you will come to see Sri Lanka's highest waterfall "Bambarakanda". You will be descending further down with the view of the waterfall intact. Picnic lunch and refreshments will be provided. Thereafter you will be transferred to Haputale. You will have plenty of leisure time to rest and relax and to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area of your hotel. You will be staying two nights at boutique hotel located on a cliff with surrounding views of the valley below.

Day 11 & 12 - Adam's Peak
After breakfast, transfer to the Haputale train station to board a local train and enjoy a scenic train journey from Haputhale to Hatton through the lush green tea estates and the misty mountains. Early morning on day two, around 2 am set on a hike to Adam's peak. During the months of December to May, you could witness centuries old ritual of locals making their way to the summit of Adam’s Peak summit to pay respect to Lord Buddha’s footsteps, as the local Buddhists believe. View the lovely scenery of the sunrise from the mountain top. On your descend, you will be taking a lesser known off the beaten path all the way to foothills which runs through a dense forest which is known as Peak Wilderness Sanctuary where you will see infamous views of the Adam’s Peak. This forest area is a protected sanctuary. You would be able to see animals such as Samber Deer. Rest of the day you are free to spend a relaxing time after an adventurous hike to Adam’s Peak during your adventure holiday in Sri Lanka. You will be staying in simple guest house near Adam’s Peak.

Day 13 - Dickoya
After breakfast, our specialist cycling guide will receive you in Adam’s Peak to begin the cycling adventure of your adventure holiday in Sri Lanka. Start your journey from the foothills of the Adam's peak to Dickoya in a circular journey around Adam’s Peak and Castlereagh reservoir. Distance of the ride will be approximately 24 Kms. Lunch, refreshments and water will be provided. You will be staying at colonial bungalow in Dickoya surrounded by tea estates.

Day 14 - Belihuloya
Morning, resume your cycling tour to Belihuloya where you will be cycling through forest patches, Tea estate and paddy fields across virtually unexplored area, very scenic and eventful. You will be cycling for around 25 Kms and is mainly downhill. If you are fit enough or want to cycle more you can continue the journey cycling or else you can complete the rest of the journey in the backup vehicle. Lunch, refreshments and water will be provided. You will be staying in a small guest house in Belihuloya.

Day 15 - Udawalawe
Resume your cycling tour to Udawalawe. You will be cycling for around 25 Kms across the countryside passing many villages, paddy fields and plantations. If you are fit enough or want to cycle more you can continue the journey cycling or else you can complete the rest of the journey in the backup vehicle. Lunch, refreshments and water will be provided. You will be staying at a safari lodge in Udawalawe with a beautifully manicured garden surrounded by shrubs and forests.

Day 16 - Weligama
Early morning set on an exclusive jeep safari to the Udawalawe national park to view the majestic Asian elephants and other wild animals. Resume your cycling tour of Sri Lanka to Mirissa, a popular seaside hamlet for Whale watching. You will be cycling for around 25 Kms. If you are fit enough or want to cycle more you can continue the journey cycling or else you can complete the rest of the journey in the backup vehicle. Lunch, refreshments and water will be provided. You will be staying at small beach front hotel.

Day 17, 18 & 19 - Galle
Resume your final leg of the cycling tour to Galle and witness the stilt fishermen and seaside villages on your way. Distance of this ride is approximately 28 Kms. Visit the Galle fort and the surrounding areas in bicycles. Once you arrive in Galle, that marks the end of your cycling tour during your adventure holiday in Sri Lanka. You will have plenty of leisure time during these days to enjoy the sun and the sand and relax by the Unawatuna beach during these few days. You can take part in diving or snorkeling during your leisure time. You will be staying at small beach front guest house in Unawatuna.

Day 20 - Departure
After breakfast you will be transferred to Colombo International Airport for the flight back home and your eventful Adventure Holiday in Sri Lanka comes to and end with loads of memories to cherish in years to come.
