Villa WeligamaThe Villa is perched on a cliff surrounded by trees. In between the trees your attention is drawn to the panoramic view of the ocean which is only a three minutes away. There are three luxury Villas built in different elevations. Kitul Villa is situated on lower ground facing two rock boulders and a private swimming pool. Hilltop Villa and The Bungalow face the ocean and have their own swimming pool. In between Hilltop Villa and The Bungalow is the Pavilion which serves all types of beverages. All Villas have spacious living and dining rooms, fully equipped kitchens, cable TV, air-conditioned bed rooms and complete attached bathrooms.

LocationVilla Weligama is situated in the deep south of Sri Lanka, in the village of Weligama. It is 141 kms south of Colombo (4 hour drive) and two kms from famous Weligama bay. It is a place of true rustic beauty with lot of palm trees which form a natural canopy of shade creating a calm and cool environment ideal for a meditative and medicated rest.
There are two roads which lead to the Villa situated in a 2.5 acre beautiful land dotted with shady tropical trees grown in many levelled terrain gives this place its unique and unforgettable beauty which will linger in your memory forever.
The lower road will bring you to the secluded golden sandy beach. The upper road will take you to the top of the cliff to give you a breath-taking view of the blue ocean. You can admire the sun rise above the remote hills in the central part of the island. The beautiful fiery sun set will silhouette the fishermen perched on poles doing their fishing, a memorable sight to photograph.
If you are keen to explore about the culture of the fishermen, you may stroll through the local village and see their way of living. You will be able to see the fishermen drawing their nets and preparing their boats outside cadjan huts, the women attending to the daily household work and the care-free children playing merrily on the sandy beach.
Driving about 15 minutes you can be in the town of Mirissa which is the launching base for whale watching and sea tours. The world famous Unawatuna beach is a natural swimming pool and is only 20 minutes drive. The vast beach is ideal for you to bask in the sun. The Dutch fort which forms a part of Sri Lankan history is a place where you should visit. It is also in the same vicinity.
There are many other villages surrounding and also Buddhist temples to be visited. Wherever you go you will be greeted by smiling people. You will marvel at their friendliness and their hospitality which is typically Sri Lankan.
The surrounding Flora and Fauna of the villa provides a whole host of interesting and colourful birds and even the sight of wild monkeys on the trees. As night falls you have the privilege of seeing the lighted ships dotted on the far away ocean. The twinkling lights if the ships studded along the horizon will mesmerise you for sure.

Kitul Villa - faces two rock boulders. In between the boulders there is a view of trees and much foliage. You may even see colourful birds and wild monkeys on the trees. This view is clearly possible from the living and dining areas and is truly a peaceful and refreshing sight. The Villa is designed with four bedrooms for eight persons. All rooms are equipped with en-suite baths with hot and cold water. A comfortable living and dining area and a well equipped private kitchen adds value to Kitul Villa. The large private pool affords complete privacy when you are in a mood to have a dip and chill out.
Hilltop Villa – this is referred to as Hill top as it is the most elevated villa of the three. It is designed with five bedrooms for ten guests. It has en-suite baths in each room with hot and cold water. Two of them are with private plunge pool/tub. Spacious and grandly decorated living and a dining area is at your disposal together with a well equipped private kitchen. There is a spacious veranda on the ground floor providing you with a breath-taking view of the splendour of the ocean and the well kept beautiful garden.
The Bungalow – This Villa is at a slightly lower level than Hilltop Villa. It is designed with two bedrooms for four persons with an en-suite bath with hot / cold water. A living and dining area and a private kitchen is available. The living and dining areas are open to very tropical foliage vegetation, awe inspiring vista for your eyes.
Shared swimming pool: Hilltop and The Bungalow Villas share a common swimming pool and afford you a panoramic view of the blue ocean.
All rooms are fully air-conditioned. The comfortable beds, tapestry and the beautiful interior are exclusive. The bathrooms are well designed and elegant. The linen provided are immaculate. Our house keeping team looks after them all.
DiningA la carte menus offer mouth watering food. These include delicious dishes made from fresh vegetables in the area and fresh fish caught from the sea. The Prawns, Oysters, Crabs and Lobsters will undoubtedly tingle your palette. A variety of Sri Lankan fruits ranging from Mangoes, Pineapple, Bananas, Rambuttan, Mangoosteen, Avocado and other fruits will certainly captivate you as your dessert. At noon you can have these as your fresh juice. While Breakfast offers you western style with fresh juices, fruit platter, home made bread, pan cakes with honey and jam, curd and eggs and so on. Sri Lankan food can be offered on request for lunch and dinner.
The Pavilion is open for all types of fruit cocktails, fresh juices and other beverages. These beverages will not only quench your thirst but will also energize your body refresh your mind as you sip slowly while gazing at the ocean.
