The Baywatch beach and Lagoon is one of the best coastal tourism sites in the Kalpitiya region of Sri Lanka. We identified this in 1994 and proceeded to buy land to commence an Eco –Friendly tourist project. The Government of Sri Lanka has now identified the location as one of the best potential tourist destinations and up-market Beach Resort Region.
Our Cabana style Resort which is based on ethical Eco-tourism is attracting the tourists locally and foreign as well from a number of destinations around the world. Most people are unaware of this beautiful pristine piece of Sri Lanka.
Bay Watch is an adventure, sports based Eco resort primarily for wildlife enthusiasts, kite surfing, Dolphin watching, canoeing, reef snorkeling, sand dunning, bird watching and fishing fanatics. We are situated in a remote location connected only by a sand strip to mainland Sri Lanka.
The resort is not for the faint hearted; it’s for the traveller looking for a difference and appreciates a rustic and ecofriendly atmosphere, not for travelers wanting luxurious clinical accommodation with all modern amenities.
The Water used in the resort is Natural mineral rich ground water with no chemicals which is used for the toilet and showers; Electricity is self-generated by Solar panels and Generators.
PLEASE CONSERVE WATER AND ELECTRICITY.
As this is in an eco-sensitive environment island no fogging is done as it would eliminate all insects and there bye affect the abundant bird life and transcontinental migratory birds.
